Jared Verse stands by his Steelers talk after Mason McCormick slams him to the ground

Jared Verse said the Browns would “make Pittsburgh ours.” Instead, he spent part of the first quarter upside down. After Rico Dowdle's 9-yard touchdown with 7:57 left, Verse jumped to block the extra point, and Steelers guard Mason McCormick caught him in the air and slammed him down. McCormick drew a 15-yard unnecessary roughness flag.

Who is paying for Pennsylvania campaigns?, on Mon Valley Independent

THE BIG DEAL about the midterm elections is not just about political power. It’s a whole lot about political money. Nationwide, campaign ad spending has reached $11.21 billion as of this week, according to AdImpact, an advertising data tracking company. That makes this election year the most expensive for ad spending in history, topping the $11.2 billion spent in 2024 — an election that not only had the same blend of House and Senate races but also included the presidency. For Pennsylvanians, 2026 is a different animal. There isn’t the same laser focus on the Keystone State as previous years.
