About this event
Spend one Saturday a month to help us protect and care for creation!
Do you enjoy time in nature and making a positive difference in the lives of those around you? If so, you might love to be part of our Volunteer Service Days crew!
Help us maintain this beautiful greenspace for all of our dear neighbors to enjoy. Tasks include: weeding, gardening, pruning and care of our orchard and blackberry bushes, mulching gardens, removing invasive plants, clearing the nature trail and care of our sacred spaces like the cemetery, tree trail, and labyrinth.
Come for all or part of the time!
Work Days begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m., weather-permitting, on the following dates:
April 18
May 16
June 20
July 18
August 15
Sept 12
Oct 17
Nov 21
Stay for a free lunch in our dining room and visit with Sisters and friends! Weather-related cancellations will be announced by 3 pm on the Friday before each Service Day.
Our only request is that you please bring your own water bottle (which can be refilled onsite). We discourage the use of store-bought bottled water because of our commitment to reduce plastic consumption.
Please RSVP by emailing Karyn Zaffuto at kzaffuto@stjoseph-baden.org (one week in advance, if possible) and let us know if you will be staying for lunch!
