- ➤ Team PTL and Charlie Batch’s Batch-A-Toys have joined with KDKA for the fifth year to host a holiday toy drive for children in Pittsburgh this Christmas. Organizers hope locals will donate toys to brighten the festive season. CBS Pittsburgh
- ➤ A 15-year-old from North Braddock rescued his elderly neighbor from a house fire and was honored Saturday night by local mayors & U.S. Steel for his bravery. CBS Pittsburgh
- ➤ Perman Funeral Home in Shaler Township hosted its inaugural Fill a Hearse event on Dec. 6 (2 p.m.–4 p.m.) to collect new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots at 923 Saxonburg Boulevard at Rt. 8 (free drive-up drop-off) as Santa met kids with festive photos. WPXI
- ➤ The Third Annual Tree-Mendous Toy Drive took place on Dec. 6 at Montour Athletic Center in McKees Rocks. Organized by Benjamin Benefit Foundation and Mason's Movement with Montour High School's National Honor Society, it collected new, unwrapped toys for 10 local groups. WPXI

- ➤ The Steelers face a March 1 deadline to pick up an option that would extend head coach Mike Tomlin’s contract from 2026 to 2027 as the team’s record slipped from 4-1 to 6-6 this season. PennLive
- ➤ Avonworth High School finished a perfect season by winning 31-7 over Northwestern Lehigh for the PIAA Class 3A championship Saturday in Mechanicsburg, earning its first state title. Other local teams continue their run in state matchups. WTAE
