  • The HOV lanes on I-279/579 are closed due to a technical issue, as PennDOT announced on Friday and said they will remain closed until further notice — the agency will share updates when the lanes reopen.  WPXI
  • On November 29th, Pittsburgh International Airport opened a $1.7 billion terminal that ended operations of its 33-year-old landside facility. The change will reduce the Allegheny County Airport Authority's operating budget for 2026 to $154.1 million, 9% less than the nearly $169 million spent in 2025—according to CEO Christina Cassotis.  WPXI

  • The FDA recalled Locatelli Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese with Wegmans’ scale labels sold at Pennsylvania grocery stores after the supplier reported possible Listeria contamination—cheese sold from November 14-24 can be returned to Wegmans for a full refund.  WPXI

  • Damarco Minor scored 18 points and hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer on November 29 to give Pittsburgh a 67-66 win over Ohio State, handing the Buckeyes their first loss.   • Today at Acrisure Stadium, the Steelers will wear custom cleats in their 10th annual My Cause, My Cleats game against the Bills at 4:25 p.m.—players like TJ Watt and Pat Freiermuth support causes such as UPMC Children's Hospital and community education initiatives.   • The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that six injured players are cleared to play, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers who will play with a broken left wrist, wide receiver DK Metcalf cleared after an ankle sprain, and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. returning from a hip flexor strain — defensive lineman Cam Heyward and players Alex Highsmith and Ben Skowronek are also expected to join the game.  PennLive
  • No. 13 Miami beat No. 24 Pittsburgh 38 to 7 on November 29—Carson Beck passed for 267 yards and three touchdowns to boost the Hurricanes’ hopes for a College Football Playoff berth.
