  • The Gratitude Run in Peters Township will start this Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 a.m. at 750 Bebout Road, Venetia—founded by Chris Weiss to honor a friend's loss, it now raises funds for two families facing cancer hardships.  CBS Pittsburgh
  • Community members gathered in Oakland last Sunday to honor lives lost in traffic violence, remembering veteran Bobby Paige who was hit on October 28—urging city leaders to improve street safety. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Pittsburgh International Airport will open its new $1.7 billion terminal on Tuesday—its first building of this kind and the point where passengers will soon check in for flights. The terminal is set to mark a major upgrade for air travel in the region.  Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

  • After a strong training camp, the Pittsburgh Steelers elevated cornerback D'Shawn Jamison from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals — his first game with the team — where he will play on special teams and serve as a backup to Brnadin Echols.  PennLive
  • Steelers beat writer Brian Batko has released his scouting report for the Week 11 game against the Bengals—he outlines key plays and expects the passing attack between old quarterbacks to be crucial for a win.  Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
  • Coach Pat Narduzzi apologized to fans after Pitt lost 37-15 to Notre Dame on Saturday — the loss occurred in front of a sold-out crowd and he said he wished he could have given more. He stressed his focus remains on the upcoming games as the team works to improve.  WPXI
  • The Riverhounds defeated Rhode Island FC on Saturday to win the Eastern Conference title when Robbie Mertz scored in the 62nd minute (after a pass from Captain Danny Griffin) at Highmark Stadium with a record crowd of 6,735.   • On November 16, the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Nashville Predators 1-0 in an NHL Global Series game held in Stockholm, Sweden (Danton Heinen scored the only goal) as the team held the opposition scoreless through the second and third periods. The win marked an improved and steady defensive effort after a tough performance on Friday.  WPXI
  • During Sunday's game, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers left with a bloodied left hand after nearly being sacked before halftime — he went straight to the locker room for treatment. Mason Rudolph replaced him on the field and led a scoring drive while Rodgers remains questionable to return.  PennLive
