  • The Steelers sent a scout to watch Penn State quarterback Drew Allar in a game where Penn State lost with a score of 42 to 37 to UCLA (Sept. 27). Allar threw for 200 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 78 yards as scouts kept checking his play for future NFL plans.  PennLive
  • Steelers cornerback Darius Slay said he disagrees with Pro Football Focus after they rated him with 123 allowed yards in the game against the Vikings—he argued that most of the yardage came from a miscommunication on a non-traditional Tampa 2 play.
