- ➤ Pittsburgh’s BikePGH and City officials will host the first-ever Vision Zero summit on Oct. 17 at the University of Pittsburgh to work on ending traffic deaths—local leaders, planners, engineers and advocates will meet to share their plans and progress. WPXI
- ➤ Construction on Parkway North began Friday to change traffic patterns from northbound I-579 to I-279, and ramp closures at Route 28, Hazlett Street, Evergreen Road and Perrysville Avenue mean drivers must take the Bellevue-West View exit—detours will last until noon today. WPXI
- ➤ ALCOSAN held its 23rd annual open house on Saturday where nearly 1,700 people joined in hands-on activities and plant tours, including a visit to the new outfall along the Ohio River — a key step in expanding treatment capacity and reducing sewer overflows. WPXI

- ➤ Yesterday, the Pitt Panthers and West Virginia Mountaineers clashed at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown before both schools announced that the Backyard Brawl will now extend through 2036.
