- ➤ Anthony Quesen pleaded guilty for the fatal stabbing of a state police liquor enforcement agent on the Montour Trail last year—he is mentally ill and will be sentenced in November. KDKA
- ➤ Pittsburgh police are asking the public to help find an 11 year old girl named Na’Kiya Cook who was last seen at 4 p.m. Tuesday on Minooka Street in Carrick (she is five foot two, about 115 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair, and wore a black sweatshirt with black pants). WTAE

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that Pennsylvania must stop discarding mail ballots because voters sometimes write the wrong date on the envelope — the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said thousands of ballots were wrongly thrown out. The decision followed an earlier ruling by a federal judge in Pittsburgh — confirming that such ballots are valid for voting. The Tribune-Review
- ➤ On Tuesday, a federal appeals court ruled that Pennsylvania must stop rejecting mail-in ballots when voters fail to write an accurate date on their envelopes. The unanimous decision said that discarding ballots disqualified thousands of valid votes—upholding an earlier ruling by a Pittsburgh judge. WTAE
