CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Early Sunday, police said two females were hospitalized in the Perry South neighborhood after being stabbed outside 30 Strauss St.—one in serious but stable condition and the other in critical—with investigators noting that witnesses have been uncooperative. The Tribune-Review
- ➤ Two women were taken to the hospital after a stabbing on Strauss Street in Perry South just after 1 a.m. on Sunday; one was injured in her face, head, and lower back and is in serious condition while the other was stabbed in her stomach and is in critical condition—Pittsburgh Police are investigating. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ About 700 nurses at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital voted 402—305 to unionize with SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania on Sunday, and they will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Zulema Parklet to call on UPMC to begin contract negotiations. The union vote marks the first time nurses at the hospital have successfully formed a union. The Tribune-Review
