- ➤ Recent economic announcements show strong growth ahead for Pittsburgh. Developer Lucas Piatt said the first phase of his $740 million Esplanade project is weeks away—Walnut Capital won City Council approval for a $500 million Bakery Square expansion while Senator Nick Pisciottano introduced a tax incentive bill for Mon Valley development.
