- ➤ All Together Now! will run from August 7 to 10 as Pittsburgh’s new music festival featuring various bands at several venues that supports the city’s immigrant community. Organizers Ted Cmarada and Susan Spangler created the event in response to cuts in refugee funding and have planned 14 shows aimed at raising funds and awareness for immigrant support groups. - ➤ Rite Aid’s bankruptcy has closed hundreds of stores, forcing Pittsburgh residents in areas like Lawrenceville and Manchester to fill prescriptions at places like Giant Eagle—where long lines show the growing gap in local pharmacy access. The chain said it will sell most of its assets to keep prescription services running while local seniors and lower-income residents face tougher challenges in getting their medicine.
