ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A firefighter sustained a leg injury while battling a two-alarm house fire in Swissvale on July 5—officials have not provided further details about his condition.  WPXI

CULTURE NEWS

  • Michael Belman from Fine Art Conservation Services restored a nearly 100-year-old painting at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Murrysville using milk paint to match 1930s techniques (a method chosen for authenticity) for its 205th anniversary. Pastor Joseph Hedden commissioned the work to brighten the image of Jesus meeting Mary Magdalene on Easter morning (the restoration revived its original colors).  The Tribune-Review
