- ➤ Kyree McCray, an 18-year-old from Pittsburgh, faces multiple charges after a mass shooting in East Liberty injured at least 15 people when the city’s alert system recorded 14 shots—he is held in Allegheny County Jail without bail with a hearing set for July 3. PennLive
- ➤ Animal control officers and police responded Tuesday after neighbors reported two dogs suffering severe heatstroke outside a Lawrenceville home as temperatures exceeded 90 degrees since Sunday (one dog was taken on a stretcher) and owner Christine Crowther now faces charges of aggravated animal cruelty. - ➤ Pittsburgh police arrested an 18-year-old near Garland Park in East Liberty after a shooting injured 15 people Sunday—he faces charges for carrying an unlicensed firearm and receiving stolen property while being held in Allegheny County Jail with a preliminary hearing set for July 3. - ➤ Anthrocon 2025 will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from July 3 to 6 and is expected to draw over 19,000 participants with more than 15,000 already pre-registered—adding to an anticipated visitor spending of over $21.7 million.
