- ➤ Eight distinguished alumni from Valley High and its predecessor schools will be honored at the homecoming football game on Sept. 26 as part of the New Kensington-Arnold School District’s distinguished alumni class, announced by School Director Sarah Yurga. - ➤ Allegheny County Jail and local shelter Animal Friends launched TAILS, a pilot program pairing shelter dogs with incarcerated women who learn pet care skills when Ethel, a 2-year-old 38-pound mixed breed, joined the unit on June 11.
