ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fire started at Cal’s Cantina on the 600 block of Eden Park Blvd in McKeesport around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning—firefighters quickly contained the blaze while social media images showed extensive interior damage. WTAE
- ➤ Early Sunday morning a fire seriously damaged Cal’s Cantina in McKeesport along Eden Park Boulevard — firefighters quickly controlled the blaze, though the fire marshal said the building was likely a total loss — and investigators have not determined the cause. WPXI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pittsburgh officials said that homeless camps dropped sharply after 18 months of city clearings. They added that the fewer camps as summer begins — a sign that the efforts are showing results. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
- ➤ Electric vehicle fees for Pennsylvania drivers may double next year — a measure that is under discussion. Local driver Tim Kelly said he will never return to gas-powered cars because he believes electric vehicles are better — a stance he made clear in his comments. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
