ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two vehicles burst into flames after a crash at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Rodi Road in Churchill Friday night—firefighters worked to control the blaze and urged drivers to use caution until repairs to the melted traffic lights were completed. WPXI
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Mon Valley leaders and workers are celebrating after the final hurdle for a deal between U.S. Steel and Nippon Steel was cleared. Nippon Steel said the agreement, announced a year and a half ago, will soon be finalized—paving the way for the deal to close. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

- ➤ Verona police charged On-Site Companionship employee Aryann Harper after she left a care-dependent person alone in a North Avenue home on Friday afternoon when her relief worker was late—officers said the individual needed 24/7 care for safety. WPXI
- ➤ A Duquesne man, 26-year-old Tywone McClain, was fatally shot inside the Safari Club on Grant Avenue Friday night — police said a fight began before the shooting and are still looking for suspects. WTAE
