- ➤ Pittsburgh Public Schools voted to adopt the Future Ready Plan to close nine schools—seven will shut after the 2026-27 school year and two will remain open until renovations complete—while schools operate as normal this year in preparation for the changes ahead. KDKA
- ➤ Duquesne City School District dedicated its gymnasium to the late DeWayne Tucker on Wednesday at 300 Kennedy Ave (he served nearly 40 years on the board and was a retired police officer) in a ceremony that also highlighted the student-athlete excellence award he helped create.
