- ➤ John Dunn from Sewickley is using his 80-pound ladder to replace worn military banners and install new ones that honor veterans and he will finish his work by Memorial Day, May 26. The Tribune-Review

- ➤ Pittsburgh police are investigating antisemitic flyers — thrown from vehicles and found in Ziploc-type bags — that were left throughout Squirrel Hill over the weekend. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
- ➤ Dorian Jeri-Greene was charged with criminal homicide, robbery and burglary after being considered a person of interest in the killing of 24 year old Jennah Siebert, who was shot inside her Rostraver home on April 11—police confirmed she was found on Lenity School Road. WPXI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Westmoreland County inmates now have free rides home as Sage's Army expands its program to provide transportation and vouchers for those released after bus service ends. The nonprofit uses grant and settlement funds to purchase vehicles—helping reduce risks for inmates forced to walk along Route 119. The Tribune-Review
- ➤ On Monday, as Pittsburgh voters dropped off their mail-in ballots, mayor Ed Gainey and challenger Corey O’Connor made final appeals by outlining their plans for public safety, affordable housing and city improvements—each offering a distinct vision for Pittsburgh. The candidates explained how they would use city resources and address key issues, leaving voters to choose the future leader. WPXI
- ➤ Pittsburgh Regional Transit began installing red bus lanes on Liberty Avenue between Fifth and Sixth avenues on Monday night as part of the University Line project—and today it is installing lanes on Sixth Avenue between Grant Street and Centre Avenue with detours in place. The work will move to Sixth Avenue between Wood and Grant streets tomorrow and will resume on Fifth Avenue between Grant Street and Liberty Avenue on May 27 and between Sixth Avenue and Grant Street on May 28, weather permitting.
