- ➤ Pittsburgh International Airport officials previewed the almost complete three-level landside terminal on Tuesday—construction began in October 2021 and the $1.7 billion project is about 90% finished as testing continues ahead of its fall opening, featuring design elements inspired by local hills and forests. - ➤ Allegheny Health Network has announced a $43 million, 36,000 square-foot renovation at Allegheny General Hospital that will add 57 treatment rooms and improve patient care with new waiting and triage areas. The project will relocate the entrance and security station and later upgrade trauma and imaging rooms — the first phase is set to begin this fall with the entire work to be completed by the end of 2027.
