  • The Pittsburgh Steelers did not trade star wide receiver George Pickens after the NFL Draft—team officials said they received no offer strong enough to move him. General manager Omar Khan confirmed Pickens remained with the team along with DK Metcalf as they planned for the upcoming season.  PennLive
  • On Saturday, April 26th, 2025, the Pirates lost 8—4 to the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium after Oneil Cruz homered on the first pitch and drove in three runs; Holderman took the loss.  WPXI
  • The Pittsburgh Steelers signed South Alabama fullback DJ Thomas-Jones to an undrafted free-agent contract — he will compete with other players for snap time in the offseason — to fill their fullback role after free agency did not yield a signing.  PennLive
  • Pittsburgh is preparing to host the 2026 NFL Draft and city leaders say the event could be the biggest in the city’s history—local officials have studied the draft logistics in Green Bay to help guide their planning.
