- ➤ A free formula bank housed in Homewood Early Learning Hub — a bright family center — has fed 5,000 babies and will continue offering free formula to local families. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Families came together at the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh on Thursday and Friday (with many coming from nearby areas) as grandparents and kids enjoyed family-friendly activities and meeting players. - ➤ Football fans from around the world gathered in Pittsburgh for the NFL draft and broke the city's all-time attendance record as the event concluded. CBS Pittsburgh
- ➤ After going undrafted in the NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills signed Pitt senior running back Desmond Reid — a 2024 AP second-team All-American — in Pittsburgh. The 5-foot-6, 174-pound player rushed for 966 yards last season and will compete for a spot on a deep roster. The Pitt News
- ➤ Arturs Silovs will start Game 4 for the Penguins as they try to avoid a series sweep by the Flyers. The team will play at its home arena soon, following strong goaltending efforts in earlier matchups. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

- ➤ Pitt standout linebacker Kyle Louis was drafted 138th overall by the Miami Dolphins Saturday + his strong play in his final season earned him a chance to compete for a backup role alongside established players. - ➤ Fans gathered on Saturday morning at Point State Park for the final day of the 2026 NFL draft; visitors arrived early to tour exhibits and snap pictures with Steelers trophies (a highlight for local tourism) and suggested the event will boost Pittsburgh's appeal. WTAE
