  • E-bike use is growing, and local police urge riders to follow bicycle rules and lower their speed in busy areas to help prevent accidents. They also remind parents that riders must be at least 16 and encourage helmet use even though PennDOT does not require it.  The Tribune-Review

  • Attorney General Dave Sunday announced a settlement with PA Corporate Certificates, LLC — a Florida firm that misled nearly 2,000 business owners by charging $102.50 for a $40 certificate — which will pay $40,000 in restitution and cease operations in the state.  WPXI

  • Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center will host the world-famous musical Hairspray soon (after an exclusive preview), adding rich theater to Pittsburgh's cultural scene.  CBS Pittsburgh

  • Citizens opposing a planned Homer City power plant are meeting Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Artists Hand store in Indiana borough to discuss a May 12 DEP hearing on a natural gas pipeline; a rally is planned at 4 p.m. at Indiana Regional Medical Center Park.  The Tribune-Review

  • Yesterday at Acrisure Stadium, a Pittsburgh crowd set a world record for hands-only CPR while the American Heart Association and the NFL partnered to teach the lifesaving technique — an effort to boost community readiness.  CBS Pittsburgh

  • On Thursday, Apr. 24, the NFL draft kicked off at the North Shore near Acrisure Stadium as Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza was chosen first by Las Vegas Raiders. Record attendance of 320,000 saw teams build their lines — seven offensive tackles and two guards were picked in the first round.  WPXI
  • On Friday, thousands flocked to the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, pushing park and rides to near capacity as Washington Junction hit 75% and Monroeville Mall reached 50%. Pittsburgh Regional Transit is running Football Flyer buses every 15 minutes today and tomorrow — serving downtown and the North Shore.  WTAE
