  • The Benedum Center was evacuated Saturday when a fire alarm went off before a performance — officials confirmed there was no active fire or danger to the audience.  WPXI
  • A man is recovering after a fire on Ligonier Street destroyed two homes on Tuesday and left him injured and without his pets.  WPXI

CRIME NEWS

  • A United Airlines flight was diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport yesterday after officials detected a security concern — further details have not yet been provided.  WPXI

  • Scoops in Bellevue unveiled the Hoist the Cone Sundae in celebration of the Pirates, serving Bucco Batter ice cream topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, black & gold sprinkles, and a waffle cone that looks like a traffic cone. Customers can also order Pirates-themed cupcakes and traffic cone cookies.  WTAE
