CRIME NEWS

  • West Homestead police are asking for help finding 38-year-old Teena Figurski, who was last seen April 2 around 5:00 p.m. in West Homestead—officials urge anyone with information to come forward.  WPXI
  • A homicide investigation is underway in Rostraver Township after Jennah Marie Seibert was found dead on Lenity School Road Friday at 12:15 p.m.—police said the death is suspicious with autopsy results pending—and they are now searching for a missing 2024 black Lexus GX.  WTAE
  • Body and dash camera footage from last week shows a chase of a stolen police vehicle—this chase began on the Ohio Turnpike and ended in a crash and shooting on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  CBS Pittsburgh

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Shaler Area School District voted to install a contactless weapons detection system at the middle and high schools after a 16-year-old brought a gun onto a bus two and a half months ago. The district will begin staff training and pilot testing before the system is fully set up next school year (starting in August).  WPXI
