- ➤ Allegheny County Police arrested Richard Hill, 18, after he took part in the beating and armed robbery of a man in a Duquesne home on March 28— the victim escaped down a stairwell and said he heard at least one shot fired as he ran. WPXI

- ➤ Jeremy Renner will speak about his recovery from a near-fatal snowplow accident on New Year's Day 2023 during his book tour stop at the Roxian Theatre on May 4 in Pittsburgh—he will sign copies of his book My Next Breath and share details of his healing journey. CBS Pittsburgh

- ➤ In a Pittsburgh park, Hobo (the donkey) leads a herd of 12 goats that eat invasive plants like knotweed and bittersweet vine to lower herbicide use. Fences and a shelter are set up so that dogs must stay on a leash and the animals can work safely. WPXI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pittsburgh Regional Transit said funding shortages may force it to cut 35% of service and raise fares from $2.75 to $3 starting in February next year. The agency is inviting public comment until June 18—via an online survey, phone, or at its downtown center—and will hold three public hearings at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on April 29 and June 12 and at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall on May 6. University Times
