CRIME NEWS

  • Allegheny County police investigated a fatal late-night shooting in McKeesport on Saturday when they responded to a home on the 1700 block of Abraham Street around 10 p.m.—they found 37-year-old Kurtis Shaw who later died in hospital.  WTAE

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Jerry Dickinson, the new dean of Pitt's School of Law — the youngest in the nation at 38 — became the institution's second Black dean after serving as vice dean. He started the role on January 15 and brings his experience from running for Congress and overcoming challenges in foster care to strengthen the law school's legacy and guide its future growth.  WTAE

  • PNC Park was once again named as one of America’s best MLB stadiums by USA Today readers. The Pittsburgh Pirates home opener will be held on April 7 at PNC Park with fans set to enjoy new food options.  WPXI
  • Last October, Aaron Rodgers visited the Steelers but did not reveal if he would sign with the team or retire. Adam Schefter from ESPN said Pittsburgh remained uncertain about his plans and speculated he might not play this season.  PennLive
