On Saturday, thrill-seekers rappelled down 21 stories of the EQT Plaza building at 625 Liberty Avenue — part of the Over the Edge 2025 campaign hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The fundraiser ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to raise money for a nonprofit that pairs local youth with mentors.

A Pittsburgh pizzeria called Slice on Broadway won the title of World's Best Cheese Slice at the International Pizza Expo held in Las Vegas from March 25 to March 27.
Chris Ostapenko said the win shows the team’s hard work at its six local locations — they are excited to bring this honor back to the 412.
🚨 Crime
A man was taken into custody on Pittsburgh's North Side on Friday night when SWAT was called to North Franklin Street to serve a felony arrest warrant for Raymond Robinson (29) who faced charges including aggravated assault and strangulation in connection with a domestic incident, barricaded himself in a home, was treated for superficial, self-inflicted injuries at a hospital, and was then sent to jail.

On Friday night, the Pirates beat the Marlins 4-3 — Oneil Cruz hit a two-run home run and David Bednar finished the game in the ninth inning.
The team will use Bailey Falter as they prepare for Saturday's third game of the series.
Cam Heyward helped steer wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Steelers after he learned the Chargers were aiming to sign him—Metcalf then signed a five-year, $150 million deal that makes him one of the highest-paid receivers in team history.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in Temple safety Andreas Keaton after he impressed during his pro day last week—he ran a 4.47 40-yard dash, posted a 34.5-inch vertical jump, and started all 12 games as captain at Temple in 2024—and he met with the team following his workout. His strong speed and leadership have sparked interest in adding him to the roster.
Aaron Rodgers was offered a one-year deal by the Steelers while expert Rich Eisen predicted a future contract—potentially a two-year agreement worth about $70 million with incentives—could pay above $40 million annually.
Rodgers visited the team last Friday and has not yet decided on signing as contract details remain in discussion.
The Steelers did not send head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan to watch quarterback Jaxson Dart at his pro day in Oxford on Friday—this signals a lower chance they will choose him in the first round.
Instead, the team sent scout Ike Taylor, assistant general manager Andy Weidl and wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni, and Dart is set to visit Pittsburgh for a pre-draft evaluation before April’s NFL Draft.
