BUSINESS NEWS

  • A scratch-off ticket revealed a $1 million prize at GetGo on East Carson Street in the South Side — a $20 game that earned the store a $5,000 bonus — as a local resident celebrated a life-changing win. The Pennsylvania Lottery confirmed the win.  WTAE
  • Fresh Market opened at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Centre Avenue in Shadyside (site of the former Whole Foods). The store features a full-service butcher, beer and wine section, and a bar and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.  WTAE
  • Three restaurant concepts — Juniper Grill, Atria’s, and 1930s Cigar Bar — opened Tuesday at 2350 Railroad St in the Strip District, replacing Italian establishments Osteria 2350 and Cioppino.   • The Steelers hosted cornerback Chris Johnson (ranked 38th overall) in a pre-draft visit on Tuesday. He boosted his draft stock after strong performances at the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.  PennLive
