- ➤ Nvidia Corp announced a $2 billion investment in Saxonburg-based Coherent Corp and signed a nonexclusive agreement for advanced laser and optical products to boost research and U.S. manufacturing expansion, supporting next-generation silicon photonics for AI infrastructure and following a $4 billion industry investment. - ➤ The Fort Pitt Museum showed off a new exhibit on March 5 that tells the story of Western Pennsylvania’s part in the Revolutionary War — it shows rare items like the original Westmoreland Battalion Flag and more, with a Speaker Saturday event set for March 14 at Point State Park. WPXI

- ➤ On Thursday, Mar. 5, the University of Pittsburgh ranked seventh in NIH funding with over $669 million for a fiscal year ended Sept. 30 (this includes support for its School of Medicine and research investments).
