About this event

Join us for a hands-on workshop that transforms spontaneous thoughts into stitched art.

Begin with a stream-of-consciousness freewrite: no editing, planning, or making sense required. From there, select a phrase or collection of words that catches your attention and bring it to life.

Choose your fabric, learn a basic sewing stitch, and embroider and embellish your piece to create your own unique piece of text/fiber art. No previous writing or needlework experience or skills are needed.

We invite you to slow down, let your mind wander, and explore your thoughts through movement, thread, and touch. Come see what takes shape!

Facilitated by Chloe Baierl, Center for Creativity
