About this event

Presented by the Office of the Attorney General.

Relationship scams are among the most emotionally and financially devastating scams affecting adults today. These schemes extend far beyond fake romance – they prey upon the fundamental human desire for companionship and meaningful connection.

In this engaging and interactive workshop, participants will explore the emotional and psychological tactics scammers use to establish relationships, create emotional bonds, and, ultimately, exploit their victims.

Through real-life scenarios and practical exercises, attendees will learn how to recognize warning signs, avoid common traps, and take proactive steps to protect themselves and their loved ones before trust turns into heartbreak and financial loss.
