About this event

Every jobsite runs on clear communication — so what happens when your crew speaks multiple languages? Talking the Trade is a practical, interactive workshop for foremen, superintendents, contractors, and union leaders working with multilingual crews.

Literary Pittsburgh surveyed Pittsburgh-area trades stakeholders to find out exactly where communication breaks down on the jobsite, and they built this session around what they learned! Participants will walk away with plain-language, jobsite-ready strategies that can be put to use the very next day.

This isn't a lecture, it's real scenarios and real conversation. Expect discussion, case studies pulled from actual jobsites, and takeaways designed for busy crews.

Literacy Pittsburgh is pleased to partner with the Master Builder's Association of Western PA & The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters to offer this communications and cultural competency workshop!
