BROADcast: The Church of Charlie Chaplin

About this event

Experience Charlie Chaplin's beloved silent films as they were meant to be seen—with live music performed in the moment.

The Charles Wesley Music Foundation is thrilled to welcome acclaimed pianist Tom Roberts back to the BROADcast Concert Series with The Church of Charlie Chaplin , an unforgettable evening that blends classic cinema with the artistry of live performance. Roberts performs his original piano score alongside a collection of Chaplin's most beloved silent films, creating a performance where every laugh, every tender moment, and every dramatic turn is brought to life through music.

Long before recorded movie soundtracks, audiences experienced silent films accompanied by live musicians who shaped the emotional journey of each story. The Church of Charlie Chaplin celebrates that tradition while introducing modern audiences to the timeless genius of one of cinema's greatest storytellers.

Whether you're a lifelong admirer of Charlie Chaplin or discovering his work for the first time, this unique performance offers a rare opportunity to experience film and live music together in a way that is both nostalgic and remarkably fresh.

Admission is free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted to help support future community concerts presented by the Charles Wesley Music Foundation.
