About this event
If you have sensitive documents you need to dispose of safely, bring them out to our FREE Shredding Event. Join me between 9:30 AM and Noon at Linton Middle School on November 14, 2026.
Consumer fraud and identity theft are a significant concern. To raise awareness and to promote prevention, I am hosting a shredding event to give individuals the opportunity to have unneeded documents destroyed FREE of charge. Document shredding will occur onsite with the shredded paper later to be recycled. This event is for individuals only, no businesses please.
What to Bring: All documents you no longer need that contain personal information including Social Security, credit card, and bank account numbers. Also bring credit card statements and applications, bank statements, cancelled checks, income tax forms, insurance records, medical and retirement/pension fund information.
Our office will also be collecting donations for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, but donations are not necessary to participate.
There is no need to RSVP to this event. Just show up with your sensitive documents, and we’ll take care of the rest. For questions or more information, please call Senator Costa’s office at 412-241-6690.
Listed by State Senator Jay Costa (The Events Calendar), gathered by the Pittsburgh events calendar.
